As we lovingly remember Margaret on her first anniversary, Frank her husband, Frances, P.J., Gwen, Brendan, Bernie and Michael her children, Con her brother, Bridget her sister, 14 grandchildren and extended family would like to most sincerely thank all those who sympathised with us and have continued to support us during this past year.
We offer heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, neighbours and sympathisers who travelled near and far through storm Babet to the funeral home, Mass and burial. Equal thanks to those who couldn't be present, but kept us in their thoughts and prayers. To everyone that text, phoned, called to the house with food, sympathised on-line, sent Mass cards and floral tributes, we took great comfort from it all.
Our sincere thanks to Fr John Heinhold and Fr Michael Curran for celebrating Margaret's beautiful, meaningful Mass. To Shanahan Undertakers for their kindness, advice and professionalism, Bernadette Milner for her beautiful singing, the West Cork Hotel and staff for the meal after the funeral.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who helped us to care for Margaret at home, Dr Don Creagh and the staff of the medical centre, Skibbereen. Her wonderful home helps Aleksandra and Jane, public health nurses, palliative care team, Dan Cleary's chemist and his staff.
We would like to thank all our kind neighbours, friends and relatives who provided wonderful, caring support to Margaret and us all, throughout her illness, in her own home.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Margaret's First Anniversary Mass will be Sunday 13th October 2024 at 11am, in St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen.
