Maria McEntee O’Sullivan

Ashbourne, Co. Meath and formally of Ballyhooly, Co. Cork, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin and Kill, Co. Kildare.

Acknowledgement and first anniversary.

2nd July 2020.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

As we lovingly remember our wonderful Riasy, a lady generous with passionate intelligence, brightness, enthusiasm and compassion, her husband Paul, sisters and brothers, Bernadette, Arlene, Martine, Shane and Colin and her wealth of nieces and nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts, uncles, and cousins would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on her passing. We also offer thanks on behalf of her late father William (Bill) who found some solace in the thoughts and kind words shared.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited us, attended the viewings, service, and cremation and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled from the four corners of this isle, and those still to come. Those who sent floral tributes, cards, and messages of condolences online and in ink from countries far and wide, we are profoundly grateful.

We thank her all friends from the Irish and international canine communities, her nursing colleagues, and associates from her training in Jervis Street, to the Mater Private Hospital, Whitfield Clinic and Saint Francis Private Hospital in Mullingar and her UCD Smurfit MBA colleagues who all took time and effort to remember her in a myriad of ways.

Paul would like to humbly thank especially those in Ashbourne and of his patients who provided so much emotional support, sympathy, cards, plants, apple tart, scones, cakes, chocolate and their quiet words of comfort and support. Some of you had met her, most had not. Thank you all so very much.

We also thank those friends that continue to keep an eye on us and keep us smiling.

A special word of thanks to Rev. Dr. Michael Shortall, Fr. Seamus McEntee, and Fr. John Gilligan who celebrated both her life and her Requiem Mass. Our thanks also to the staff of Massey Bros. Funeral Home and Newlands Cross Crematorium.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, to those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
