Martin HEFFERNAN

 Martin HEFFERNAN

37 Thornsbury Estate, Tullamore, Offaly

As we lovingly remember Martin on the first anniversary of his passing, his beloved wife Nuala, and children Derek, Derville, Dara, Deirdre, Debbie, Dermot, Deicola & David with their families, would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.

To our extended family, many friends and kind neighbours for your support. We offer our heartfelt thanks.

At a time when sympathising was made difficult due to the pandemic, we greatly appreciated all the Mass cards, letters, floral tributes, messages of sympathy, online condolences, and support to our family at our most difficult time.

A special thank you to Fr Joe Gallagher for celebrating a very meaningful funeral mass and for his continued support. Also, to Fr Martin Carley (Rahan) & Fr Frank Guinan (Mucklagh) for concelebrating the mass. To Noreen & Joe Rabbette for the beautiful singing & music.

For all who lined the route from our home on his final journey and who attended outside the church and online during the funeral mass. Your show of support will always be remembered.

To Phil O’Reilly funeral director, we thank you for your kindness, sensitive and professional handling of all arrangements.

To the Tullamore G.A.A. and Offaly G.A.A for providing the guard of honour.

We are most grateful to the Palliative Care team and the Carers who called to our home and to all who donated to Dóchas.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Bridge of Love
There is a bridge of memory,
from Earth to Heaven above.
It keeps you always near us,
It’s called the bridge of love.
May you always walk in sunshine
and God’s love around you flow,
for happiness you gave us,
no one will ever know.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you.
The day God called you home.

Martin’s Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 20th February, at 1pm in Church of the Assumption, Tullamore.
