Murt’s wife Gracie, his sons Thomas & Hugh & all his family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each & every person who offered sympathy & support throughout our recent sad loss.
Thank you to those who visited the funeral home, attended Murt’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, those who sent Mass cards & floral tributes, those who phoned, text or shared kind messages of sympathy online, those who travelled from near & far to show their respect & to those who couldn’t be present but joined us on webcam.
Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses & staff of the renal unit at The Beacon Hospital & the dialysis unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital for their great care over the past few years & most especially throughout Murts’s final weeks. Our thanks to Dr Foster & his team at Harbour Road Surgery & to the kind & helpful staff of Grants Pharmacy.
Thank you to Fr Martin Jose for his prayers, guidance and beautiful funeral Mass & to Michael Flood & Patricia Kavanagh for such fabulous music.
To our own extended families, our neighbours & friends, your kindness & support will never be forgotten. A special thank you to the ladies who helped out in the funeral home.
To so many friends from salvage & dismantling, & lifelong friends from the Vintage Rallies, we will forever appreciate the years of friendship we have shared & the comfort & support you have brought throughout this difficult time.
Thanks also to the management & staff of The Old Ship for their hospitality, to Jason & Tom for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Murt’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 30th November at 6.30pm in Saints Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
