Late Mary Beresford (née Morrissey)
Coady’s Quay, Dungarvan
As we approach the first anniversary of Mary’s passing on December 11, 2023, we lovingly remember a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend to so many. Known affectionately as ‘Mary B,’ she brought light, kindness, and warmth to every life she touched. Her absence is deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all who cared for Mary during her illness, including the wonderful teams at Solas Cancer Support Centre, High Street Medical Centre, Dr. Bird & Team at Bon Secours Cork, Haven Connolly Pharmacy, and the Palliative Care Unit at UHW. A special thanks to the staff of the Oak Ward, UHW, whose extraordinary compassion and care brought comfort to Mary in her final weeks.
To our family, friends, and the community: your outpouring of support, kind words, and gestures have been a source of strength over the past year and more. We are deeply moved by the countless acts of kindness shown.
We also wish to thank all who assisted with Mary’s funeral, including David Kiely Funeral Home and the Reverend Fathers who so beautifully co-celebrated her Funeral Mass and the Parish Choir for their wonderful music. To those who queued patiently at Mary’s wake to offer condolences, your presence and words brought us immense comfort for which we are hugely grateful.
Mary’s memory lives on in our hearts and in the countless happy moments we shared. As we honour her life, we invite all who loved Mary B to join us in remembering the joy she brought to those around her.
We will remember Mary on Sunday 1st December at 10am Mass in St Marys Parish Church, Dungarvan.
'Mary B' - Forever missed, forever loved.
