Died 10th September 2020.
Mary’s daughters Eimear and Regina and extended family would like to acknowledge with sincere gratitude all those who sympathised and supported us on our recent sad loss.
We are truly grateful to all who visited, telephoned, texted, sent Mass cards, perpetual enrolments, floral tributes, letters of sympathy, online condolences, made donations to the Milford Homecare Team, attended Mary’s funeral Mass, lined the route to the church, gathered outside the church for mass and attended her burial. A special word of thanks to our fantastic friends and neighbours for all their kindness and support and also for bringing food and refreshments to our home.
Míle Buíochas to Fr. Damien Nolan who celebrated a wonderfully special requiem mass for Mary, for making it so personal, comforting and meaningful for us, her family. It was a most fitting tribute for our cherished mother. Special thanks to Monica Morgan, Michael Hennessy, Martina, Aoife and Ailíse Corry for their beautiful music and singing, along with all the readers and those who brought symbols of Mary’s life to the altar. To Kathleen Corbett, our sacristan, thank you for preparing the church.
We wish to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to Mary’s GP Dr. Mary O’Brien and her staff at Roslevan Medical Centre for always being professional, competent, good humoured and kind. A special thank you to Valerie, the Milford Home Care Team and Public Health Nurse Niamh Tracey for their tremendous care, attention and compassion. Thank you to Mary’s consultants in UCHG, Dr. Silvie Blazkova and her oncology team and Dr. Amjad Hayat and his haematology team for their professional care and kindness shown to Mary.
A special word of gratitude to James Nagle, funeral director, for your kindness, patience, attention to detail and utmost professionalism. Thank you to the gravediggers who prepared Mary’s final resting place with such care and attention. Heartfelt thanks to Aoife Corry for her moving rendition of ‘The Parting Glass’ at the graveside. Thanks to The Falls Hotel, Ennistymon for the delicious meal after Mary’s burial.
Thank you to our wonderful friends, neighbours and family for your continued support.
As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid’s Church, Corofin on Sunday October 11th at 11am.
