Mary’s children Anne, Joe, Trish, Nicola & Robert, along with her brother Pat, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on the recent very sad passing of Mary, a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. Thank you to all who called, sent messages, letters, cards and to those who attended the wake, funeral or burial.
A special word of thanks must got to the doctors and nurses who looked after Mam throughout her illness; Dr. Gerry Moran, Dr. A.K. Nair and all the staff at the practice in Tullow Street, all the staff in Morrissey’s Medical Hall, the staff in St. Luke’s Kilkenny & Rathgar, staff at the Mater Hospital and Waterford Regional Hospital.
To Mary, Lisa, Catríona and the rest of the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team, Anne Marie O’Brien, Deirdre Montgomery, Mary Gallagher & Aisling Phelan without whom we could not have cared for Mam at home. There are no words we can use to thank you all for the care you gave Mary or the immense support you gave to us.
We wish to thank everyone who offered prayers and lit candles for Mam since her illness was diagnosed and wish to especially thank Fr. John Dunphy, Fr. Liam Lawton, Joe O’Rourke, Fr. Tom Little, Fr. Sean Kelly, and The Poor Clare Sisters. Special thanks must also go to Catherine Ryan, the beautiful singers and all who helped in the church for the funeral. We would also like to thank Martin & the Lacey Family & Staff, for their professionalism, help and kindness, the florists, and the grave diggers.
We are eternally grateful to our many relatives, friends and neighbours, particularly Mary Timmons, who was a constant companion to Mam over the past 55 years, and to all who supported us, brought food and generally kept us going through this difficult time.
As it would be impossible for us to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
