Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
As we lovingly remember Mary, who passed away on December 24th, 2023, we, her family would like to acknowledge and thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends, neighbours, and sympathisers who attended the wake, service, and burial, and who provided emotional and practical support at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, and messages of condolences, we are profoundly grateful.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Bantry General Hospital and Castletownbere Community Hospital for their excellent care and compassion shown to Mary. Special thanks to her carers and her doctor, Dr. Glisson, and staff, the ambulance service, for their professional care and support.
A special acknowledgment of heartfelt gratitude to Fr.. Martin Sheehan for the very special Mass and for visiting our mother in her final days which brought us great comfort. For his kindness and the magnificent send-off, he gave our mother, Mary.
Go raibh maith agat.
A special word of thanks to the grave diggers who prepared her final resting place, and to Harrington’s Funeral Directors and O’Donoghues for their professional assistance, and to all the staff at Berehaven Golf Club for looking after us following the Funeral.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
The First Anniversary Mass for Mary will be held on December 20, 2024, at 07.30 pm in The Sacred Heart Church, Castletownbere
