The family of the late Matt Moore wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us following our recent sad loss.
We are especially grateful to all who called to our home, the very large numbers who attended his reposal, funeral Mass and burial; to those who phoned or sent messages of sympathy or posted messages to RIP.ie; to those who sent Mass cards and letters.
To our family, wonderful neighbours, dear friends and work colleagues, for your generous and kind support, with special mention to the Drought family and the Tierney family, we will be forever grateful for your presence and for being an integral part of Matt’s life and a source of support to us since his passing.
Sincere gratitude to Dr De Feu and her entire team at the surgery – thank you for your dedication, warmth and for all your care and attention to Matt throughout the years. He always enjoyed the chats he had with each of you! To Dr Varghese and her team at Tullamore Hospital, to the staff of Surgical 1 and to all who Matt encountered during his hospital stay – thank you for your care to Matt and for your kindness to us.
Our grateful appreciation to Fr John Molloy, Fr Tom Corbett and Fr Lorcán Kenny for celebrating a beautiful Mass for Matt. Our thanks to Sacristan, Mary Heffernan, and Altar Servers. Special thanks to Martin Delaney for the very meaningful music and songs during Matt’s funeral Mass.
Thank you to Donnacha Doyle, Undertaker, and to Keith Breen, who we entrusted the care of our beloved Matt to – for your care, your guidance, your sincerity and your professionalism in all you did over the few days of the funeral and for preparing Matt’s final resting place in Dungar, we will forever remember you.
Much appreciation to Erin Horticulture staff, past and present, for your precious friendship to Matt, for your recent hospital visits and your visits to our home through the years, for the Guard of Honour at his funeral – it meant so much to us and Matt would be so proud.
Sincere thanks to Ballyskenagh-Killavilla GAA Club for forming a Guard of Honour for Matt and for your thoughtful appreciation published after his death. The GAA ran deeply through Matt’s veins and both tributes would have been a source of great joy and pride to him.
A word of thanks also to Pat Phelan, Frankie Mitchell and those who aided with traffic control during Matt’s final journey.
Heartfelt appreciation to our own Bernie and Gerard Teehan, Creative Catering, for ensuring there was a constant supply of refreshments at our home throughout the days around Matt’s funeral.
Our final word is one of thanks to Matt – you were kind, caring, hard-working, supportive and thoughtful towards us all. You were happiest when you were helping others. We miss you beyond measure, cherish you infinitely, remember you always and hold you forever in our hearts until we meet again.
Rest peacefully Matt.
As a mark of our gratitude, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
