Michael Fay

 Michael Fay

Bunnoe, Cavan

God called your name so softly,
That only you could hear;
And no one heard the footsteps,
Of angels drawing near.
The golden gates stood open,
God saw you needed rest;
His garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.

We, the family of the late Michael Fay, Bunnoe, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, who died on 22nd December 2023 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family, friends and neighbours who visited our home and brought food.  We wish to especially thank Dr Fiona O'Hanlon and Dr Michael O'Hea, The Ambulance Service, The Guards and all the staff who cared for Mickey at Cavan General Hospital.

We got great comfort from all those who attended the funeral home and the funeral mass.  For those who telephoned, watched the funeral live stream, sent cards, messages of condolences, we are truly grateful.

Thank you to Fr. Yusuf and Fr Gabriel Kelly who celebrated the funeral mass.  Thanks also to Luke Carolan for the beautiful singing and music.

Thanks, also to Bunnoe Community Centre and the dedicated hard working team who provided refreshments after the funeral mass, such a valuable and appreciated service.

A special thanks to Smith's Funeral Service, Drung for their professionalism, guidance and compassion in arranging the funeral and to House of Flowers, Cootehill for the beautiful flower arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your support and kindness will never be forgotten. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Michael's Month's Mind Mass will be held on Sunday, 21 January 2024 in St Mary's Church, Bunnoe at 10.00 am.
