(née O'Connor)

Cahersiveen, Kerry / Cavan Town, Cavan

Acknowledgement & First Anniversary

We lovingly remember Oonagh on her first anniversary which occurs on 14th July 2024.

Forever loved, so very much missed and remembered always by her loving husband Muiris, her children Tom and Doireann, her brother Pádraic, her sisters Breda and Méabh, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, niece, extended family and many friends.

We offer our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us on our sad loss. To everyone who visited our home, attended the wake, the celebration of Oonagh’s life and burial. To those who travelled long distances, sent cards, flowers, phone calls, texts and wrote heartfelt messages of condolence on RIP.ie.

We wish to thank our extended families, neighbours and friends who helped and supported us. To everyone who brought food, helped with traffic management and provided emotional and practical support to us in so many ways at such a difficult time, we are truly grateful.

It brought us great comfort to see so many people standing along the roadside on both Oonagh's journey home and her journey to her resting place.

Thank you to Sheila Ryan for her guidance and for celebrating such a beautiful service. Thank you to Róisín Ryan for providing the beautiful music and singing during the service.

Thank you to everyone for wearing bright colours to celebrate Oonagh’s life and to everyone who participated in the service to give her a beautiful send off. Thank you to everyone who formed guards of honour at Sheehan’s shop and Cnuicín pier on the way to Valentia Island for the burial.

Thank you to Martina O’Sullivan for the beautiful flower arrangements.

Thank you to Paudie, Dan & John of Garvey’s Undertakers for their professionalism and kindness.

Thank you to the Palliative Care team, doctors, nurses and staff in U.H.K. for taking such great care of Oonagh. A special word of thanks to the Homecare team who visited her on a regular basis.

Our sincere gratitude for the continued kindness and support shown to us at the time of Oonagh’s illness, her passing and throughout the year since.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
