Pat’s wife Mary, daughter Lorraine, son Patrick, brother Christy, sister Hannah together with his son-in-law Gavin, daughter-in-law Niamh, grandchildren and the extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss of Pat (Dad) on 31st March.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to our many family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues, Bennekerry and Palatine GAA community, and the management and staff of Palatine GAA clubhouse for their generosity, emotional and practical support during this difficult time. To all those who sent mass cards, letters, text messages, emails, posted messages of condolences on RIP.ie, called to our home or telephoned, thank you. We are truly grateful to those who attended Pat’s (Dad’s) wake, the funeral Mass in person or virtually and burial and may have travelled long distances. Many thanks to the guard of honour performed by Palatine GAA.
A special word of thanks to the dedicated healthcare professionals who were an integral part of Pat’s (Dad’s) life, in particular the nurses, doctors and staff of Oaks Family Practice. To Sinead and her team at Askea Pharmacy, thank you for your unwavering support. We deeply appreciate and acknowledge the efforts of the doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and catering staff of St Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny, St Vincent’s University Hospital and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital during Pat’s (Dad’s) short illness.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to PHN Ailish, community RGN Eilis, Mary Cowan, Irish Cancer Society Night nurse Jenna and the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare team of nurses, all of whom gave exceptional compassionate care, support, dignity and respect to Pat (Dad) and our family during such an emotional time.
To Fr Little and Fr Dunphy, we are so thankful for your visits and prayers with Pat (Dad) at home and in hospital during his illness and for celebrating his life with a beautiful funeral mass. To Cathríona Kelly and John Kelly for your beautiful singing.
To Rory Healy, Funeral Director and his team, a special word of thanks for your exceptional professionalism and continued guidance during our time of grief.
Pat (Dad) is deeply and sadly missed by all, and will always be remembered as the kind, loving husband, family and community man he was. He will be forever in our hearts.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
