Patrick’s wife Lil, sons Brian, Justin and Padraic, daughters Siobhan and Sarah, son-in-law Ronan, daughters-in-law Nuala and Raquel, grandchildren, brother Brendan, sisters Mary and Judy wish to sincerely thank all who called to the house, phoned, sent mass & sympathy cards, sent flowers & food and left messages of condolence online including on rip.ie, Your kind and sincere offerings gave us comfort at this difficult time.

 

Thank you to the friends and neighbours who came and gave support during the difficult days following Patrick’s passing. We appreciate all those who attended Patrick reposal and funeral mass, especially to relatives and friends who travelled long distances to be with us.

 

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the doctors and nurses of University Hospital Galway, the public Health Nurses in Corrandulla Health Centre, Justin in O’Connell Pharmacy and all those who cared for Patrick during his illness, especially his oncology team, palliative care and those in St. Mary’s ward who cared for Patrick in his final days.

 

We would like to sincerely thank Fr. Sean Cunningham for celebrating Patrick’s life in a most beautiful Requiem mass. Thanks to the chaplain's in UHG for their prayers and blessings. Thanks to all those who participated in the funeral mass including readers and musician. 

 

A special thank you to Martin Hanley Funeral Services for your support, guidance, and professionalism handling of arrangements. Thank you to the volunteers who managed the flow of traffic during the reposal and funeral.

 

Thank you to Annaghdown GAA for providing a guard of honour for their kind words posted on social media. A sincere thanks to the gravediggers for the careful attention given to preparing Patrick’s final resting place. Thank you to James Charity & all the staff of Regan’s Clonboo for the lovely meal following the funeral. Thanks to all who contributed to the collection for Cancer Care West. 

 

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In gratitude, a mass of thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.

 

Patrick, you left us with beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

Although we cannot see you,

You are always by our side,

A special place within our hearts

Will always be kept for you.

 

Patrick’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St. Brendan’s Church, Annaghdown on Sunday, 16th June, at 10am.
