On the first anniversary of Peggy’s death, we, her family, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our bereavement.
Our sincere thanks to all who sent Mass cards, letters, messages of sympathy, online condolences and spoke to us by phone, and to those who joined us online for Peggy’s funeral. We were overwhelmed by your kindness and we appreciate deeply your support at this difficult time. A special word of thanks to our neighbours in Drimoleague who lined the roads and streets in her honour as Peggy made her final journey past her old home.
A special thank you to Peggy’s cousin, Fr. Charlie Nyhan, and to Fr. Liam Crowley, PP Drimoleague, for prayers at the house, for celebrating a beautiful funeral mass and for graveside prayers. To Miriam, Patricia, Marie, Aine & JP for the wonderful music during the mass.
To Pat & David Daly, funeral directors, Drimoleague, our sincere gratitude for your compassion, guidance and attention, which ensured that Peggy had the best send-off possible while COVID-19 restrictions were in place.
Thanks to the doctors, nurses and ancillary staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, for taking such good care of Peggy in her last few weeks and for her her final days at Marymount Hospice where she was very comfortable. Their efforts to facilitate family hospital visits during COVID-19 restrictions is very much appreciated.
To all others, as it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our appreciation and sincere gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
