Philip (Foody) Kirwan

 Philip (Foody) Kirwan

Drogheda, Louth

The family of the late, great, Philip "Foody" Kirwan, 5 Broadmeadows, Drogheda, Co. Louth, who passed away suddenly on November 25th would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, mass cards, photographs, flowers and condolences on RIP.ie.

Our sincere thanks to staff of The Lourdes Hospital for their kindness in Foody's passing and a special thanks to Professor Egan and staff of The Mater Private Hospital for the wonderful care shown to Foody during his illness.  Thanks to Fr. Aidan for a lovely mass, Andrea Delaney and David Leddy for the beautiful music and our heartfelt thanks to the Boyne RFC for such a personal and fitting tribute to Foody on their Facebook page.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to show their respect along the route from Townley's, stopping at Foody's home in Broadmeadows and ending at the Church, we were overwhelmed. Thank you to neighbours, friends and family who supported us, by joining us in person via the live streamed mass, to pay tribute to Foody. Thank you to everyone at P.Townley and Sons, without your guidance and boundless empathy we would not have got through the last few weeks.

Foody will be deeply and sadly missed and will always be remembered.  As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation.

Foody's month's mass will be held on Sunday, January 2nd at 12 noon in the Lourdes Church.
