Richard (Dick) White

 Richard (Dick) White

Kilcarra, Arklow, Wicklow

Dick’s wife Doreen, son Richard, daughters Lisa and Sharon, sister Judith and all his extended family wish to express our most sincere gratitude for the support and kindness shown to us at the time of Dick’s sad passing and in the weeks since.

We give heartfelt thanks to the community of Kilcarra, our friends, extended families, neighbours and those who couldn’t come in to the house but provided practical support in so many ways. For those of you who stood in your gardens and lined the funeral route to say a final farewell to Dick and also those who stood outside St. Saviour's Church and watched the service online, your support and kindness will never be forgotten.

To those who sent sympathy cards and condolences on RIP.ie, it was so kind and very much appreciated at such a hard time.

We wish to thank Consult. David Fennelly and the staff of the Redwood Ward and Cara Ward of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital who looked after Dick so well. Also, a huge thanks to the staff of Maryville Surgery, Arklow and to the staff of First Choice Pharmacy Arklow.

A special thanks to the Arklow Public Health Nurse Claire Nicholson, also the Palliative Care Nurses Tracey Linnane and Pat Tyrrell and to Teresa Ryan and Diane Chamberlain of the Irish Wheelchair Association. You all brought such comfort, care and dignity to Dick in his final days and we will be forever grateful.

Heartfelt thanks to Reverend Arthur Barrett of St. Saviours Church for the lovely funeral service and graveside prayers and his kindness to our family in our grief since. Also thank you to Rosarie Kinsella, organist and Karla Tracey, soloist for the beautiful music in the Church and to Jimmy Woolmington and Betty McKeown for all their help.

Our warmest thanks to Floral Affairs, Arklow for their generosity & kindness.

Thank you to Bill O’Reilly, David Morgan, and all our friends who took the time to tend to the grave in Kilcarra Cemetery.

Grateful thanks to Niamh Sweeney and all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors for their guidance and thoughtfulness, kindness and professionalism throughout.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere appreciation.
