Carrigaline, Cork / Gleneely, Donegal

The family of the late Robert French of Carrigaline and Donegal who died on 24th July 2023 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the removal and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences.

A special word of thanks to Andy and Eoin who helped organise everything. We could not have managed without you both.  To all in Kilmoney clinic, the Mercy and Headway thank you for the outstanding care you took of Robert during his illness.

Thank you to the Navy, Retired Naval Personnel and Dell employees for their attendance at the removal and service
Thank you to the Men's Shed for providing a guard of honour on the day.

Thank you to all Robert's friends from his writing groups and his photography groups for attending and sharing stories of him with us.

Thank you to Fr. Cremin and Fr. Campion for the lovely service.

A heartfelt thank you to Sophie, Cillian and Marie Claire for providing such beautiful singing for the mass.

Thank you also to Forde's Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional care of us throughout the service and burial afterwards.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind.
