Mount Carmel Road, Loughrea, Co. Galway
Saturday 24th August 2024.
Sean’s wife Sadie, brothers Mike and Gabriel, sister Eilish, children, Joseph, Bernadette, Eilish, Colette, Clare, Geraldine, Kevin, Jacinta and Sharon, their partners and Sean’s grandchildren, great grandson and extended family wish to sincerely thank all who called to their home, sent mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence. Your kind and sincere words continue to give us great comfort at this difficult time.
Sincere thanks to our friends, extended family and neighbours who brought food, offered accommodation, acted as stewards and helped and supported us during the difficult days following Sean’s passing.
We appreciate all those who gathered at our home and to relatives and friends who travelled long distances to attend and be with us and to those who couldn’t be with us in person but watched the Funeral Mass online.
We would like to thank the Loughrea Anglers’ Association, Loughrea Hurling Club, Loughrea Golf Club and the Loughrea Fire Brigade for the guards of honour. Our sincere thanks also to dad’s colleagues Craig Griffin and Joe Delaney for their beautiful bagpipe tribute as Sean was led to his final resting place. He would be so proud.
We would like to sincerely thank Fr. Raymond Sweeney, Fr. Christoper Clarke, Fr. Tom Shanahan, Fr. Micheál MacLaifeartaigh, Fr. Iomar Daniels, Fr. Sean Egan and Monsignor Cathal Geraghty who celebrated Sean’s life in a most beautiful Requiem Mass. We would also like to acknowledge the support Sean, and his family received from the Carmelite Abbey Friars.
Thanks to Gerard McInerney and the Cathedral choir for the beautiful music and singing during Sean’s Funeral Mass.
A sincere thanks to the gravediggers and James Regan for their careful attention in preparing Sean’s final resting place.
Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the palliative care team, carers, G.P, specialists, public health nurse, physio, and O.T. who cared for Sean.
Sincere thanks to Sean Cleary and all the staff in Kilboy’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout this difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In lieu of memorial cards, a Mass of thanksgiving will be offered for the intentions of all who supported Sean’s family over the past few weeks.
Dad, we will shed tears that you are gone but we will also smile that you have lived.
We will cherish your memory and let it live on.
