We, the family of the late Thomas Durrigan, of Stickillen, Ardee, wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbours who were so supportive to us and to those of you who travelled, phoned, sent flowers, cards and messages of condolences. We are truly grateful. A very special word of thanks to the Ardee hospice for their support of Thomas over the duration of his illness. We wish to thank his beloved fishing club buddies who honoured him with a guard of honour on the day he was laid to rest. To Father Tom Hogan, who kindly supported Thomas throughout his life and who was such a powerful strength to us in his last hours, as well as the days that followed. Father Tom, your service for Thomas was so special and personal, we are forever grateful to you. Lastly, to Jim Tenanty, for his professional and caring handling of Thomas’ funeral. To those of you that helped each of us in any way, we extend our deepest thanks to you. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Thomas’ 1st anniversary Mass will be held in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee, on Sunday the 21st of November at 12 noon.
