Vincent’s wife Eileen, daughters Caroline and Lorraine and extended family wish to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who offered sympathy to us on our recent sad loss. To those who attended the funeral home, funeral Mass, sent Mass cards, posted condolences on RIP.ie, made donations to Palliative Care Cavan and travelled long distances, we thank you. 

 

We would also like to acknowledge the support and kindness of all the staff at Cavan General Hospital who cared for Vincent throughout his illness, including Claire and Marie in the Respiratory Department, Philip (Physiotherapy), Professor Hayes, Dr Wilhelm & the Palliative Care team, the Hospital Chaplin, also thank you to Dr Lee and staff (Arva), Fosters Chemist (Arva) and Fr Oliver O’Reilly who visited Vincent in his final hours. 

 

A special word of thanks to all the staff of the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan who took care of Vincent in his final days with the utmost dignity and respect and for that we will be eternally grateful.

 

We wish to thank our good neighbours who have always been there to help over the past few years of Vincent’s illness. We would also like to thank all the people who helped and brought food over when Vincent returned home for the last time.

 

We would like to thank Fr Andrew Tully for calling to our house for prayers; Fr Oliver O’Reilly for the dignified and personal Funeral Mass as well as prayers at the funeral home: Geraldine McCaffrey who’s singing contributed beautifully to the Funeral Mass: Declan Finnegan, Funeral Director and Bernard McPhilips, for their compassionate and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and The Breffni Arms Hotel Arva for their catering. 

 

Finally, thank you to everyone who helped in any way, your support and kindness will never be forgotten.

 

Vincent’s Month's Memory Mass will take place in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coronea, on Saturday, 2nd March, at 3pm followed by burial of ashes in the adjoining cemetery.
