The family of the late Josie Kenny wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy, gestures of kindness and support extended to them on there recent sad loss.

A special word of thanks to all who were involved in mam’s care, especially the Daffodil Nurses who looked after Mam so well during her last few nights. To the funeral directors Paul Browne and Tom Dreelan of Browne’s funeral home Enniscorthy for the dignified and supportive manner in which they carried out our wishes for mam’s funeral.  To the gravediggers who prepared mam’s final resting place with care and attention. To all who joined us on mam’s final journey, from Páirc Mhuire and up the street of Ferns, those who stood outside the church and in the graveyard due to Covid-19 restrictions. To Stacy Breen for the beautiful singing during mam’s funeral Mass. A very special thank you to Fr Cushen for his many home visits and phone calls to mam, which brought her great comfort. We would also like to express our gratitude to him for his help and advice in celebrating mam’s funeral Mass. It meant a lot to all the family. Due to government restrictions we were unable to have a condolence book either at home or in the church.  A condolence page remains open on RIP.ie.  Our sincere gratitude goes to our many relatives, neighbours and friends who brought food and helped in any way. Your contributions made our loss more bearable. Those who sent messages of condolence on RIP.ie, who made phone calls and sent messages and emails, online and via text. Those who sent Mass and sympathy cards and also those who made donations to the Irish Cancer Society.  Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. Mass will be offered for your intentions.  

Josie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Saint Aidan’s Church Ferns on Sunday July 26th at 11am. Also via livestream.  

Sadly missed along life's way.
Lovingly remembered everyday. 
No longer in our lives to share.
But in our hearts Mam will always be there.
