Pat Conroy, thank you for celebrating such a personal and special Mass.  Thanks also to the Mass servers, Orlaith and Sarah and the wonderful music provided by JJ Moroney and Val Broderick and also Sophie Stapleton for her beautiful solo at the cemetery.  A sincere thank you to everyone who donated to Galway Hospice and to family who sent flowers.  A special word of gratitude to friends and neighbours who beautifully prepared Dad’s final resting place and to Jimmy Curley who organised Dad to be carried to the cemetery.   We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all our neighbours, relations, and friends who lined the route accompanying our father home and then to Derrybrien Church, the bonfire and hurl were especially heart-warming.  To everyone who attended the funeral and provided the guard of honour and assisted in carrying Dad to his final resting place, our heartfelt thanks, we were extremely moved by such support, which was so meaningful to us.  Thank you to McCarthy’s Bar for providing food following the burial.  For those who could not be present due to the challenging Covid circumstances we are grateful for the inclusion in your thoughts and prayers.  As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we hope this will be accepted by all in appreciation and thanks.  Mass will be offered for your intentions.  Finally to Dad, you truly were one in a million, not only were you always there for us, you were there for so many other people, you were a wonderful father and loyal friend always ready to lend a helping hand.  Dad you will be dearly missed, always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.  Month's Mind Mass: Wednesday, 12th August at 8:00pm in Derrybrien Church, in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines.
