The sons, daughters & extended family of the late Thomas (Tom) Duggan wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who offered sympathy, condolences & support during their recent sad loss.

Sincere thanks to Tom’s friends & neighbours for their unwavering support throughout his life, to the fabulous carers, including those from Arklow Home Help Team, who lovingly supported Tom during his later years at home, to the wonderful staff at Middletown House Nursing Home where Tom spent his final years, Dr. Anthony Bently & Team at Bradshaw Lane Surgery, Fiona Merrigan & Team at Ferrybank Pharmacy who provided excellent medical care over many years. The kindness, care, dignity & gentleness provided for Tom is much cherished by his family.

Due to current circumstances, we could not gather together & enjoy the comfort & solace of celebrating Tom’s life with all the family & friends he loved. However, we are eternally grateful for the many ways in which you shared your love & support; the many phone calls, cards & letters, the beautiful messages of condolence expressed online & the joining in the celebration of Tom’s life via webcam. We ask that you continue to keep Tom, his beloved wife Marie, son Declan & all our family in your thoughts & prayers.

The family are very grateful to those who donated so generously to Arklow Meals on Wheels in Tom’s memory and collectively raised 800 euros in doing so – thank you.

Tom’s family are especially thankful and grateful to Niamh and her team in John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors. Their professional, kind and empathetic service along with their adaptability, during such difficult times, was exceptional and very much appreciated by his family. Thanks also to Jason Porter for tending the grave.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.

Tom’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd November at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey & all are welcome to join via the parish webcam;
