ACKNOWLEDGMENT & FIRST ANNIVERSARY

David Byrne

Clancy Road, Finglas East, Dublin 11

David’s daughters Mary (Miller) and Dara (Kennedy), together with sons-in-law Rory and Garry,  grandchildren Jenny, Laura, Aoibhinn, Saoirse, Aidan and great grand-son Harry, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours and all who came to pay their respects at our homes, those who sympathised with us on our great loss at the funeral home, funeral Mass and burial and who  provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time.

For  those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, messages of condolence, lit a candle, said a prayer and just thought of a very special man, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to :

The doctors, nurses and staff of the Mater Hospital, Dublin, especially St. Anne’s Ward, for their great care and respect shown at all times, their help and support and providing care beyond the call of duty.

Our Mother of Divine Grace Church in Ballygall, Fr. Harry Gaynor and the Parish Team for celebrating dad’s Funeral Mass, Veronica for her beautiful music and Dad’s Months Mind Mass on the 25th of January 2020 which was a beautiful ceremony.

Sincere thanks to Kirwan’s Funeral Home in Ballygall for their sensitivity and professional handling of arrangements.  Thank you also to the staff of Hedigan’s/Brian Boru in Glasnevin for providing a beautiful meal at funeral reception.

To our dear families for the tremendous support and help.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

David’s first Anniversary Mass will be held on Saturday, 12th December 2020, at 6.30 pm in Our Mother of Divine Grace Church, Ballygall, Dublin 11.

God saw you were getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
He closed His arms around you,
And whispered "Come to Me".

In tears we watched you sinking,
We watched you fade away;
And though our hearts were breaking,
We knew you could not stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
It broke our hearts to see you go,
God only takes the best.

Just a prayer from the family who loved you,
Just a memory fond and true,
In our hearts you will live forever,
Because we thought the world of you.

Always loved and remembered from Mary and Dara and our families.
