Ian Jackman

Ian Jackman, KASMHA, Garringreen, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny City and formerly of Walkin Street, Kilkenny City, passed away peacefully on Thursday 8th of October 2020 surrounded by his KASMHA family and in the company of his devoted family.  Predeceased by his parents Denis and Margaret (nee Weafer).  He will be sadly missed by all his KASMHA family and his brothers, Joseph, Tomás, Brien, Declan and Tony,  sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

In accordance with current Government / HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, Ian will repose in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City, on Friday, 9th of October 2020, from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm, for family and close friends.  Removal on Saturday morning at 10.00 am (10th October 2020) to St Mary’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.30 am (max of 25 in church) followed by interment in Foulkstown Cemetery, Kilkenny City.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to KASMHA, Garringreen, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny City. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, may leave their personal message in the condolences section below. 

The funeral cortege will pass by Ian’s former home via Parnell Street/Walkin Street on route to Foulkstown Cemetery for neighbours and friends who may wish to line the route.
