Kathleen DOYLE
(née Higgins)

Our Lady`s Place, Naas, Kildare

On 29/10/20 Kathleen Doyle (née Higgins), beloved wife of Cecil, wonderful mother to her eight children, passed away peacefully after a prolonged battle with Alzheimers, surrounded by family in the loving care of Craddockstown Nursing Home. 

Kathleen, daughter of the late Gaelic footballer Jack Higgins & Molly was born in Millbank Naas, the eldest sister to Jim (NY) & Jerome, predeceased by Stasia, Dominic & Frankie. Married to Cecil in 1953, they remained and raised their family in Naas, Kathleen was a much loved neighbour and community member, active in the Credit Union, member of the ICA, the church choir and volunteer at the Care of the Aged.

Her greatest joy in life were her 8 children, Paul, Michelle, John, Damian, Cecilia, Catherine, Finola & Marc. She was an adored grandmother who cherished her grandchildren, Clyde, James, Tanya, Jenny, Shane, Rory, Ross, Eoin, Fiona, Stephen, Ciara, Katie, Aoife, Aran, Sean, Alex, Zoe, Saburo and Moto, predeceased by Max, Peter & Polly.

Kathleen will be greatly missed by her family, her daughters-in-law Eileen, Mary, Serena & Eri, sons-in-law Mike, Colm & Alessandro, sisters-in-laws Nora, Leonie and Annemarie by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and carers. 

Having given so much of her time, attention and love to the people in her life, her memory will live on through us, and we will continue to carry her with us in our hearts.

In accordance with government directives and in the interest of public health, a private family funeral will take place. Those who would like to attend the funeral but cannot due to the current restrictions on gatherings are invited to leave a message on the condolence page below.

 

For those that wish to view Kathleen's Funeral Mass, it will be streamed live on Monday morning  at 10am from the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas, via the webcam on the Naas Parish website at www.naasparish.ie.
