John Leonard, The Rise, Dalkey, Co. Dublin

John passed away peacefully following a short illness in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s hospital and their Palliative care unit surrounded by his seven children. He was predeceased very recently by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret (née Lowry). John will be sadly missed by his children Paul, David, Carole (Brenan), Philip, Gerard, Annemarie and Helen (Curran), daughters-in-law Rachelle, Karen, Daire and Darina and son-in-law Steve, his 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, his sisters Ursula and Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his cousins, his many nieces and nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 12th, at 11am in the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey, followed by private cremation at 1pm.

John’s funeral cortège will pass The Rise, Barnhill Avenue, Hillside, Dalkey Park and Elton Park, en route to the crematorium at approximately 12:15pm.
