William Favier

William Favier, also known as Bill and Willie, died peacefully at home amongst his loving family on 23rd September. Born in 1929 to Hannah and Joseph Favier in Boher, Co. Limerick, he emigrated to Australia and then New Zealand where he raised 4 children (John, Mary, Louise and Christina) with Violet (Oakes). His longing for Ireland brought the family back home, first to Kilgarvan, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry, and later, an active and happy 'retirement' in Danganbeg, Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny. 

In a remarkable life incorporating constant globetrotting, jobs of every description and intrepid adventures of all kinds, Willie made friends wherever he went and by whom he is truly missed.

Funeral will take place at 1pm on Monday 27th September 2021 at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork
