On January 15th, 2026, peacefully in her 97th year, surrounded by her loving family, and in the excellent care of the staff of Cahereen Nursing Home, Macroom, Abby (née Murphy, Direenaling, Ballyvourney), beloved wife of the late Timothy (Thady) loving mother of Mary (Coughlan), Gobnait (Finnucane), Siobhán (Horgan), John, Catherine (Lehane) and Padraig (Pa), mother-in-law of Finbarr, Noel, Eamon, Bettina, Martin and Noreen, loving grandmother of Eilísh, Tim, Seán, Joan, Barry, Colm, Niamh, Cian, Liam, Shannon, Kate, Aisling, Shane, Brendan, Jack, Abbie, Tim, Hannah, and Conor, great-grandmother of Tadhg, sister of Seán, and the late Joan, Maggie, Kathleen, Mary and Nellie. Very deeply regretted by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brother, close neighbours, carers, extended family and friends.

Reposing in Casey's Funeral Home, Inchigeela on Sunday evening from 6.00pm with prayers at 8.00pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday in St. Finbarr and the Holy Angels Church, Inchigeela at 2.30pm.

Funeral afterwards to the local cemetery.
