The death has occurred of
Aidan Hayes
Aidan HAYES died on January 19th at Letterkenny University Hospital at the age of 78. He was a poet and translator who spent most of his working life teaching in schools and prisons in Ireland and France. Originally from Cork City, he spent the last 25 years of his life in Donegal. His children, grandchildren, brothers and sister, nieces and nephew, family and friends will miss him very much.
Viewing and Memorial Service will take place at 5.00 p.m. at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, Eircode F92XE35 on Saturday 24th 2026. Burial will take place on Sunday 25th at 1.30 p.m. in St. Anne's Church Graveyard, Killult, Falcarragh, F92KP68.
