Alan Colbron Aitchison

Alan Colbron Aitchison, Mount Merrion and late of Edinburgh, passed away unexpectedly on 26th July 2025 in St. James’s Hospital to the inexpressible grief of his beloved wife Patricia.

 

Alan, cherished father of Louise and Andrew, adored ‘grandan’ of Temperance (Maguire) and Tom (Aitchison) the apples of his eye, treasured father-in-law to Ian and Emma, and little brother to Robert and Lorna. Deeply regretted by his loving family and friends, both here and abroad.

 

‘We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in death’ - St. Ambrose.

 

Funeral and service of thanksgiving will take place on Thursday 31st July at 10am in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross.
