Hemmings, Alan, 7th September, 2023 aged 97. Pioneering hand-weaver, jazz enthusiast, memoirist (The Friendliness of Total Strangers - a Donegal Weaving Adventure), co-founder of Donegal Design (Croveigh, Donegal) 1951, founder of hand-weaving venture and craft shop Studio in the Church (Login, Wales) 1977. Beloved husband of Jane; father of Roger, Guy with wife Dorothy, and Louis with wife Liz; grandfather of Lawrence, with wife Dearbhla and Luke with partner, Ruby.
