Alanna Lenehan

Alanna Lenehan (Alanna's Journey to Recovery), 28 Priory Lawns, Rhode, Co Offaly, passed away 7th September, (peacefully) in her devoted mam's arms, with her heartbroken family by her side, following a short illness fought with great determination and courage.  Pre-deceased by her grandad Eddie and uncle Peter (Siewerth).   She will be sadly missed by her mam Lael, dad Keith, brother and best friend Santiago, step-parents Andrew and Helen, grandparents Geraldine (Lenehan), Michael (Siewerth) and Noreen (O'Shea), great-granny Mangan, aunts, uncles, grand-aunts, grand-uncles, cousins, extended family, Alanna's many school friends in St Joseph's Rochfortbridge and a wide circle of friends.

Due to continued Government guidelines regarding public gatherings, there will be a family Funeral Mass on Thursday (9th Sept) at 12 noon in St Peter's Church, Rhode with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.  Alanna's Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the Rhode Parish Facebook Page on the following link:

If you would like to leave a message of sympathy for the family, you may do so on the condolence tab below.  The family would like to thank everyone for your support and understanding at this sad and difficult time.  A word of thanks to the palliative care team and nurses who helped and cared for Alanna during her illness.  

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and remember Alanna, by being present, socially distanced on her journey from her home to the Church on Thursday morning.
