The death has occurred of
Albert Lyons
It is with a heavy heart that the Lyons family say goodbye to a loving father and grandad Albert Lyons, Dromore, Dromahane and formerly of Esk, Nadd, Banteer who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 24th 2025 at Araglen House, Nursing Home, Boherbue, beloved husband of the recently deceased Anne, dear father of Margaret (Slyne), Martin, Padraig, Joseph, Siobhan (Lynch), Katherina (McSweeney) and Jacqueline (O'Shea) and brother of the late Joan and father-in-law of the late Richard and Ailish.
Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Jim, Denis and John Paul, daughters-in-law Kristen, Angela and Marie, his adored 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May He Rest in Peace.
Lying in repose at O'Connell's Funeral Home, St. James' Avenue, Mallow (P51 HH61) on Friday (April 25th) from 5.30pm with Prayers at 7pm, followed by Removal to St. Peter the Apostle Church, Dromahane.
Requiem Mass on Saturday (April 26th) at 2.30pm, which may be viewed on
Funeral afterwards to St. John's Cemetery, Glantane.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing staff of both Araglen Nursing Home, Boherbue and Aperee Nursing Home, Churchtown for the exceptional care given to Albert during his time with them.
