Alexander (Al) BUTLER

Al Butler of Bray, Co. Wicklow, formerly of Terenure, Dublin 6W and former National Secretary of IMPACT Trade Union, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Tuesday, 15th October, 2024, in the excellent care of Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 50 years, June, by his adoring children Stephen, Brendan and Alison, daughter-in-law Tracy, Brendan’s partner Emma and Alison’s partner Graham, his adored grandchildren Craig, Chanel, Cara, Rhys, Kya, Aria and Jade, by his loving sisters Aline and Sylvia, brothers Brian and Nicholas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew Pierre and by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and former colleagues.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Friday (Oct.18) from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. A Service to celebrate his remarkable life will take place on Saturday (Oct.19) at 10.30am in the funeral home followed by a committal ceremony at 12.45pm in The Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W.
