Died at home in Neffiès, after a long illness, on Friday 5th December 2025

Predeceased by his parents Alec and Gretta Gabbett.

Sadly missed by his husband Kevin Bourke, siblings Billy, Verette and Vivienne, sister-in-law Jennifer, nephew Alec and his spouse Eimear, nieces Emily and Elsbeth and their spouses Steve and George, Verette’s partner Dermot, grandnieces Milly, Ally, Isabelle, Julianne, Jessica, Sarah and Maya, grandnephews Marcus and George, relatives, neighbours and his many friends in Ireland, Australia and France.

At Alec’s request his funeral has taken place in France.
