Alfred (Al) Donovan

Donovan, Alfred (Al), 25th April 2024 (Donaghmede and formerly of Donnycarney) (formerly of An Post, where he served for 40 years), unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with dignity and bravery. Predeceased by his sister Lily, and brothers Francis, Paddy and Tony. Beloved husband of Susan and loving father of Keith and Sinéad, and Grandad of Clóda. Al will be deeply missed by his loving family, Sinead’s partner Brian, Keith’s partner Lynne, brothers Martin, sisters Louise, Marie, May, Carmel and Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

The family would particularly like to thank the Ambulance Paramedics who attended to Al at home, and the wonderful staff at Beaumont Hospital, for all their care.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Sprindale Road, Raheny, Dublin 5, on Tuesday 30th April from 3-5pm. Removal on Wednesday morning, 1st May to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Donaghmede, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am, followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery Extension.
