Alice McCartney (née French), Smarmore, Ardee, Co. Louth.  January 12th, 2022.  Peacefully at her residence after a brave battle with M.N.D.

Alice will be sadly missed by her loving husband James, her beloved daughters Niamh, Sinéad and Serena, grandchild Aaron, her brother Michael, sisters Rosaleen, Breda, Maura, Marie, Christine and Berni, sons-in-law Tony and Johnny, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

May Alice Rest In Peace

Alice will repose at her residence (Eircode A92 X858) on Thursday 13th from 2pm to 8pm for family and close friends. Please adhere to wearing of face masks, no hand shaking, hugging and social distance at all times.

House private on Friday morning.

Removal on Friday morning leaving residence at 9.45am to St Catherine's Church, Ballapousta arriving for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Smarmore Cemetery. 

Family flowers only please, donations if desired, to IMNDA.

Friends and neighbours are welcome to stand out and show their respects along the route in a safe and socially distanced manner.

The family would like to give a special word of thanks to the MND Staff at Beaumont Hospital especially Ashling O'Reilly, the Pallative Care Team, Alice's Occupational Therapist Carol-Ann, Wheelchair Home CareTracey, Amanda and Clodha.
