The death has occurred of
Alice Phelan
(née Power)
On Saturday, 14 March 2026, Alice passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Davy (David) Phelan and her baby son Patrick.
Alice was the much-loved mother of David, Maria, Sheamus, Noel, Stephen, Annette, Clodagh, Alison and Derek. She will be sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Margaret, Louise, Cora, Alison and Katarina, and her sons-in-law Niall, Adam and Rajeev. Alice was a devoted and very proud grandmother to her 25 adored grandchildren. She is also sadly missed by the families of her late sisters and brothers, her neighbours and her many friends.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Reposing on Monday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 3:00pm until 6:00pm followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption Mooncoin for Mass at 7:00pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 10:00am. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.
Alice’s kindness and love for her family will never be forgotten, and her memory will be treasured always.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mooncoin Residential Nursing Home and to her Bluebird carers for the kindness, care and compassion shown to Alice.
