The death has occurred of
Allan Ridsdale
Silverlawn, Navan, Co. Meath
7th October 2025

Peacefully at Our Lady's Hospital Navan surrounded by his loving family.
Allan is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Caroline, brothers Tommy, George, sister Doreen and his forever loved daughter Eileen, son-in-law Joe and is survived by his much loved wife Mary, his loving daughters Marie and Crystal, brother Brian. sister Joan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, very kind neighbours and many friends.

 

Allan will repose at his daughters residence Marie Reilly, Neilstown, Bohermeen on Friday from 4 - 7pm.

House private thereafter.

Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Oliver's Church Blackcastle, Navan for funeral Mass at 10am

followed by burial in Bohermeen Cemetery.

 

Allan will be fondly remembered as a very much loved gentleman in Silverlawns and the town of Navan where both he and his wife were familiar faces meeting and greeting people as they went on their way around the town. Allan was a former employee of Navan Carpets for many years. Both himself and his wife travelled to many parts of the world visiting Marion Shrines. Allan had a tremendous faith and an exceptional love for his wife, children and extended family.

The family express their gratitude to Allan's wonderful neighbours in Silverlawns who always showed him great care and respect and to the medical and nursing staff of Our Lady's Hospital Navan for the dignified manner in which they cared for Allan in his final illness.
