Andrew (Andy) McGovern

The death has taken place in the loving care of the staff of the Donegal Hospice of Andy McGovern of Glencar Irish (Long Lane), Letterkenny, formerly of Ballymagovern, Co. Cavan.

Predeceased by his parents, Patrick & Margaret, Ballymagovern, Co. Cavan, sisters Peggy and Bridie and brother Seamus (all Cavan).

Sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen (née Doherty), sons Andrew (Andy) and Paul; grandchildren Matthew and Katie and daughters-in-law Anne (Andy) and Elaine (Paul); sisters Kathleen Sutherland (Leitrim), Eileen McManus (Cavan), Rose Ryan (N. Carolina), and Rita Tierney (New York); sisters-in-law Eileen McComack (England) and Madeleine McAteer (Lismonaghan); and brother-in-law Charlie McAteer; nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

May He Rest in Eternal Peace.

Reposing at the home of his son Andrew (Andy) at the Long Lane, Glencar Irish, Letterkenny, (F92 H5H0) from 5p.m – 9p.m. on Friday, July 5th, and today Saturday, July 6th. from 12 noon to 9 p.m.

Rosary at 9 p.m. each night.

Family time please, after the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, July 7th, at 11:30am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine ((F92 PN81), which can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657 followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery.
