Andrew J. Duggan

Andrew J. Duggan aka "Sonny Duggan" of Nanuet, N.Y.  and Ormond Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2021. Born in the Bronx to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Kelly) Duggan, Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Hannah (Collins).  He will forever be remembered by his loving daughters and sons: Catherine & husband Joseph Mannino, granddaughters Hannah and Keira; 
Ann-Marie & husband David Murphy, grandsons Andrew and Francis; son Andrew, granddaughter Caroline; son Tommy & wife Kathy, grandchildren Tommy, Maureen, Katie, Jimmy and Jacqueline. Andrew is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Mangan and brother-in-law Peter and family. He is predeceased by his sister Katherine Kilgannon. Andrew is also being remembered by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews both near and far (Florida, Chicago, London, Cork, Limerick, Offally and Fermanagh).

Andrew was a Gold Member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 14/14B. He was a proud union man and worked as master mechanic on many New York City building sites. He always took the time to help someone in need. Andrew’s first and foremost love was his wife and family. His love for Ireland and all things Irish were immeasurable. He was a longstanding member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Knights of Columbus Rockland County NY.

He will be forever missed. His untimely passing has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. Rest in Peace dad. You were a phenomenal husband, father, grandfather, brother,  brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. You were a role model for your children. You instilled values, morals, a love of education and travel along with a zest for life. You always took the time to listen and never judged. There simply are not enough words to describe this loss. We loved you dearly and you knew it. There was nothing left unsaid, you made sure of that..Rest now daddy, we'll be ok...because  of you and mommy.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10am Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River, N.Y. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery Nanuet, NY.   To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Andrew J Duggan, please visit our floral store.
