It is with great sorrow that we share the sad news that Andrew Ranken died on Tuesday 10th
Feb 2026, peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, after a long illness.
Greatly missed by his family: Jane, Daniel and Nell; sisters - Christine and Maryann; cousins,
nieces and nephews and extended families – the Ranken’s, Korner’s and Perrott’s;
And his wide music family: The Pogues, The Mysterious Wheels, The hKippers and many
more. And his many dear friends.
We miss him.
Funeral: private ceremony, Thurs 5th March, Hackney, London;
In lieu of flowers, Andrew’s solidarity with the staff of the NHS and other public services can
be recognised at your discretion through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Mare St, London
