It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Histon (née Costello), Blackabbey, Adare, Co. Limerick (formerly, Ahamore, Causeway, Co. Kerry).

Ann passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2026, at Caherass Nursing Home, Croom, Co. Limerick, in her 91st year, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Denis and Delia and her siblings, Denis and Mary.

Ann will be deeply and lovingly missed by her devoted husband John; her children Declan, Elizabeth, D.J., Catriona and Anne Marie; her brother James; daughters-in-law Ann and Marian; sons-in-law Malachy and Brian; her cherished grandchildren Cathal, Aisling, Eoin, Colin, Rebecca and Andrew; nephews, partner Vincenza, nieces, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, as well as her extended family, friends, neighbours, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

May Ann Rest In Peace.

Ann will repose at Holy Trinity Church, Main St. Adare, Co. Limerick, on Friday, January 23rd from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 24th, at 12 noon at Holy Trinity Church, Adare, followed by burial in St Nicholas’ Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
