Ann McCarthy
(née O'Donovan previously Daly)

On January 31st, 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Fairfield Care Home, Drimoleague. ANN, beloved wife of Jerome and the late Michael Daly. Loving mother of Mairead, Pauline, Finbarr, Jerry, Micheal, Danny, Lorraine and Darren, much loved sister of Maisie, Carmel, Patrick, the late Helen and Rose and much loved grandmother of the recently deceased Aaron.

 

Fondly remembered by her loving family, her adored 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

 

May Ann Rest in Peace.

 

The family would like to thank Fairfield Care Home for the wonderful, sensitive care by all the amazing staff over the past two and a half years. We’d also like to thank all the people that have cared for Ann over the years, including the home help team, the Palliative care team, Dr Joan Lynch, Dr Ciara Murphy, all the staff at Nua Medical Practice and Bantry General Hospital.

 

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St., Bantry P75YW58 on Sunday Feb. 1st from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass at Star of the Sea Church, Kilcrohane on Tuesday Feb. 3rd, at 2.30pm, (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in Kilcrohane Cemetery.
