Ann Salter (née McHutcheon) of 111 New Oak Estate, Carlow and formerly of Hacketstown, Co Carlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on April 17th, 2026 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Frank, much loved mother of Valerie, Noel, Alan and Clare, adored grandmother of Dylan, Amy, Leah, Ali, Emily and Jayce and cherished sister of Mary, Eileen and the late Alex, Frank, Marie and Breda.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Valerie and Gracia, Valerie’s partner Kevin, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

May Ann’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Ann will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq (R93 C863) on Sunday April 19th from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Monday morning at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Sq., for cremation Service at 11.30pm approx.
