On November 18th 2025, peacefully with her family, in the comfort of her home, ANNA, (formerly of Cootehill, Cavan) pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, parents Mary and Matthew, brother Owen, her sisters’ Margaret (Monty), Babs and her grandniece Leah. Much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbour and friend. Anna will be very sadly missed by her sons, Patrick, Vincent, Martin, Kieran, Declan, daughter Caroline and her brother Mattie.
Anna will be also sadly missed by daughters- in-law, Margaret, Deirdre, Sinead, Narges and Severine; Caroline’s partner Dale, grandchildren, Aoife, Karina, Shane, Ella, Hugh, Sophia, Olivia, James and Alexander, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.
May she rest in peace.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Bantry General Hospital for her care in the final weeks, as well as their assistance with Caroline to bring Mum home for her final few days. Further heartfelt gratitude is also extended to the staff of Marymount Hospice, Night Nurse care and Home Help.
Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry on Thursday Nov. 20th from 6pm to 7.30pm, followed by vigil prayers. Requiem Mass on Friday 21st at 12 noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry.
