The death has occurred of Anna Sharkey (née Kiernan), Drogheda, Co. Meath and formerly of Mayne, Castlebellingham, Co. Louth, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Anna, beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of Nicholas and Ronan. Sadly missed by her sons, daughters-in-law Lucia and Deborah, grandchildren Zak, Tim, Pia, Karl and his partner Eve, Ross, Alex and Grace, great-grandchild Kristian, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A private family funeral for Anna will take place due to Government advice on public gatherings, with numbers limited to 25. Removal from her home at 10am on Saturday morning to Saint Mary's Church, Kilsaran, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am which can be viewed live at

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and remember Anna by being present, socially distanced, on the route to the church via Dunleer and Mullins Cross.
