Anna Sheenan

The death has occurred of Anna Sheenan (née Downey), Cornagee, Mill Road, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan and late of Rathkenny, Co. Meath, peacefully, 4th April 2026.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Gene, her grandson Tomás, her parents Christopher and Mary Downey, her sisters Ina McGillick (Australia) and Rosaleen Curley, and her son-in-law Seán.

Deeply regretted by her daughter Ruth, son Robert (Ciara), grandchildren Sinead, Aífe, Tara, Seán, Kaiden, Paudie, Anna-Kate, Conor, Cillian and great-grandchild Harley. Sadly missed by her sisters Dolores McGuirk, Helen Cudden and Maureen Daly, her brothers Peter and Michael Downey, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at the home of her daughter Ruth, (Cornamagh, Kingscourt, A82FN52) on Monday, 6th April, from 2pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, 7th April, at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to a palliative care charity of your choice.
