O'Donovan (Castlehaven): the death has taken place of Anne O’Donovan (née O’Donovan), Forenaught, Castlehaven and formerly of Letter, Skibbereen, who passed away peacefully at home on 24th September 2025 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Paddy & adored mother of John, Michael, Denis, Brendan & Kieran. Predeceased by her parents Michael & Molly, brothers Michael, Paddy & Dermot, sisters Kathleen & Sr. Mary Pauline.

Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters-in-law Margaret, Lisa, Mags, Helen & Linda, grandchildren James, Peter, Alison, Caoimhe, Tadgh, Sarah, Orla, Aislinn, Elaine, Aoife & the late Brian, great-granddaughter Ava, sisters Margaret (McCarthy) and Eileen (Cullen), brother James, sisters-in-law & her many nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives & friends.

Reposing at Kieran & Linda’s residence, Forenaught P81 FY24 on Friday, 26th September from 5pm to 7pm followed by prayers. Anne’s funeral cortége will arrive at St. Barrahanes Church, Castlehaven at 11am on Saturday, 27th followed by Requiem Mass at 12noon which will be live-streamed on the Funeral Service link below. Funeral immediately afterwards to Castlehaven new cemetery.

Anne’s family wish to acknowledge and thank the Public Health Nurses Marie & Karen, Home Helps Lizann, June & Eileen, night nurses Liz & Margaret, West Cork Palliative Care Team, staff at Skibbereen Medical Centre & Bantry General Hospital for their support over the last few weeks.
